First things first, preheat that oven to 350 degrees. While that’s warming up, let’s get started on the batter. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 and 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 2/3 cup of granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg. Mix that all up real good.
Now, to make these babies extra moist and delicious, we’re gonna add in 3/4 cup of whole milk, 2 beaten eggs, 2 tablespoons of unsalted melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix it all up until it’s smooth and creamy.
Next, we’re gonna pour the batter into our donut pan. But wait, we can’t forget the chocolate dip! Melt 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips in a double boiler or in the microwave using a heat-safe bowl. Once melted, stir in 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. This will give the chocolate a nice, smooth consistency for dipping.
