Hey there beautiful people! Today we have not one, but two delicious treats for you to drool over. These cakes are so amazing, you’ll be licking your screen!
Purple Silver Drip Cake
First up, we have this gorgeous Purple Silver Drip Cake. It is absolutely stunning – perfect for a special event or just to indulge in because you deserve it!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Purple and silver food coloring
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F
- Cream together your butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add in your eggs one at a time, mixing between each one
- In another bowl, mix together your flour, baking powder, and salt
- Add half of your dry mix to the butter and sugar, then mix in your milk
- Add in the rest of the dry mix and vanilla
- Separate your mixture into two bowls and color one bowl purple and the other bowl silver
- Fill two greased 9-inch cake pans with your mixture – one silver and one purple
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
- Cool completely before stacking your cakes and adding your silver drip icing on top!
Cake Smash Photography
Next, we have something a little different but equally as appealing – Cake Smash Photography! I mean, who doesn’t love a good photo shoot – especially if it involves cake?
Ingredients:
- A cake (the messier, the better)
- A cute baby to smash said cake
- A talented photographer
Instructions:
- Get a cake that is too pretty to smash (just kidding, it will make for better photos if it’s pretty)
- Place adorable baby in front of the cake
- Step back and watch them go to town on that cake – make sure to capture every moment with your camera!
- Clean up the mess and enjoy your gorgeous photos of your little one
