Oh my goodness, I just had to share the most incredible birth story with all of you. I came across this amazing photo of Bizi Baby’s birth and was absolutely awestruck. But that’s not all – I also stumbled upon the adventures of the Tucker family!
Bizi Baby’s Birth Story
First of all, let me just say that this photo of Bizi Baby’s birth captures one of the most beautiful moments I have ever seen. The love and emotion in the room is palpable, and it’s a testament to the strength and resilience of all women who have experienced childbirth.
The Tucker Family’s Adventures
Next up are the Tuckers – what an incredible family! As I was scrolling through their blog, I couldn’t stop laughing and marveling at their amazing stories. From the time they tried to ride a tandem bicycle and ended up crashing into a tree, to their hilarious attempts at making sushi, this family has truly been through it all.
Sushi Recipe
Speaking of sushi, I just have to share their amazing recipe with you all. Trust me when I say that it’s absolutely delicious and you won’t regret trying it out yourself.
Ingredients
- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- avocado
- cucumber
- carrots
- crab meat or imitation crab
- nori seaweed sheets
Instructions
- Wash the rice in a fine sieve and transfer to a pot with the 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes.
- While the rice is cooking, mix together the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan. Heat until the sugar and salt dissolve.
- Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and add in the vinegar mixture. Use a rice paddle to gently mix together, being careful not to mash the rice.
- Let the rice cool to room temperature.
- Cut the avocado, cucumber, and carrots into long, thin strips.
- Carefully lay out a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat.
- Add a layer of rice to the nori, leaving an inch or so at the top uncovered.
- Add the avocado, cucumber, carrots, and crab meat in a line down the middle of the rice.
- Using the sushi mat, carefully roll up the nori into a tight cylinder. If the nori doesn’t stick, use a little bit of water to seal the edge.
- Slice the sushi roll into pieces with a sharp knife and serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger.
